API Marketing to Hold Baseball Fall Fantasy Classic in Arizona
Fantasy Camp Meets Competitive Adult Baseball in Inaugural Event

BALTIMORE The first annual API Baseball Fall Fantasy Classic, a competitive tournament for adults ages 35 and up, will be held at the Peoria Sports Complex in Arizona September 3-7, 2008, All-Pro Image and Marketing (API) has announced.

Participants, who will be joined at the event by former major league all-star third baseman Matt Williams and other big league veterans, are guaranteed to play a minimum of seven games at the spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. The event is intended to provide a fantasy camp experience in a competitive tournament atmosphere.

“There are a lot of adult baseball players around the country looking for opportunities to play baseball at professional venues,” said Scott Lowe, President and Co-CEO of API. “By recruiting teams and not just individuals to play in our tournament, we hope to be able to provide a fantasy camp feeling and experience for a fraction of the cost to the individual.”

The API Baseball Fall Fantasy Classic provides participants with the best of both worlds – a true fantasy camp experience in a competitive setting. Featuring modified fantasy camp rules, participating teams will enjoy a workout attended by former major league players and a night out with the pros at the Peoria Hooters followed by two games each day through Saturday. A home run derby Saturday evening will be followed by a party with the pros at Salty Senorita restaurant. Sunday’s activities include semifinal and consolation games leading up to the championship clash.

Each team is guaranteed to play at least one game in the Peoria Stadium, with the other contests taking place on the Padres’ practice fields. The stadium games will be treated just like major league games, featuring music, public address announcements, scoreboards and more. Participants will get to attend a cookout, participate in autograph sessions and receive special surprise gifts. In addition to the former big league players, professional clubhouse attendants and athletic trainers will be on hand to tend to the players. Teams will have full clubhouse access, and API will provide baseballs, bats, professional umpires and catcher’s equipment.

Full price for this one-of-a-kind fantasy baseball event is $950 per person (for individual registrants), which includes lodging, at least two meals per day and everything mentioned above. Team and early sign-up discounts are available. Individual registrants will be placed on a team, and there may be an additional uniform charge. Single rooms can be reserved for an additional $150 per night. Individual awards will be presented at the Saturday night party, and the championship team members each will receive an API Baseball Fall Fantasy Classic championship ring.

“As with all of our events, the goal of the Fall Fantasy Classic is to provide an unparalleled baseball experience,” said Lowe, who ran five fantasy camps for Ripken Baseball before starting API in February. “We hope this event blossoms and allows us to develop several similar tournaments around the country.”

For more information or to register, please go to www.APIFantasyBaseball.com or call 410-834-5084. This event has a very limited number of slots, so please hurry to confirm your team’s place in what promises to be the most exciting adult baseball event of the year.
